Be Kind to Louise Day

Waiting for the party to begin!

Dear friends and fans and other Dawgs,

I’ve decided it’s be nice to Louise day and, as such, am letting her off the hook for not getting to this morning’s blogpost from me.

You know she’s getting older right? In fact, she thinks she snuck in her 70th birthday ’cause she didn’t have a party and even went so far as to take her birthday off her social media. Now, she’ll tell ya’ that was in honour of her sister, my Auntie Jackie, who was the bestest and has crossed the rainbow bridge to join Winston, her dawgish companion as well as my other fans and dawgs companions on the other side,

Ha!

Truth be told, I think she just didn’t want to mark the date she cross over into her 70th decade on this here planet.

And, even though she’s calling it, Her Sassy Seventies, I think she means Her Sometimes 70’s, Sometimes whatever she wants it to be.

Which, come to think of it, isn’t all that bad an idea. Why make it about the number. We dawgs don’t.

In fact, we dawgs celebrate every day we’re on this planet as if it’s the best day yet. ‘Cause let’s face it, you’ve never had a day quite like this one ever before.

Every day is unique. Every day is a possibility to learn more, grow more, be more. Though… come to think of it, means that saying – “You can’t teach an old dawg new tricks”… Well it just ain’t true!

Yesterday, I learned how to avoid getting back in the car when I’m at the park with my dad. Yup! I just keep dropping the ball a little further and further away from him in the opposite direction of the car and La Voila! We’re miles from the car before he even notices!

But, back to Be Kind to Louise Day.

I’m letting her off the hook. She’s real busy this weekend. Coaching at some place called Discovery and tonight, she’s got my favourite Aunt L’s Big BDay dinner where my cousins, Wilma and Martha come over. I’m just hopin’ Uncle Jim comes and brings his big bag of treats!

That said, gotta go. Louise has to get to Discovery.

See ya next Sunday!

Your friend and dawg guide, Sir Beaumont of Sheepadoodle
