Picture Day

Me: Today is picture day!

Beau: What’s that mean?

Me: It means I post a photo of you and that’s your blog done.

Beau: HA! Picture this. You don’t write my blog and my fans come after you!

Me: They wouldn’t dare!

Beau: You willing to bet on it? I mean, the other option is, I chew up those lovely leather boots you bought at the end of the season if you prefer.

Me: That’s extortion!

Beau: Nope. Just the consequences of you not following up on your commitments. Heck Louise. You’re the one always talking about consequences and all I’m doing is stating the obvious. There are for not posting my blog.

Me: Still extortion.

Beau: I think threatening not to post my blog is extortion, Louise. I’m just stating the consequences of not doing it so that you can deal with reality and not some made up, make believe story you’re creating in your head.

Me: You know you can be harsh sometimes, right Beau?

Beau: And you know you can live in your head too much sometimes, Louise?

Me: Where else am I supposed to live? It’s part of my body.

Beau: Try being like a dawg Louise. Live in the moment and just BE.

Me: Oh.

Beau: Yup. Oh. Mic drop. And btw… you know what you’ve done right?

Me: I’m sure you’re going to tell me Beau. But I’ll play along. What have I done?

Beau: Written my blog. 🙂

Me: (sighing) You just won. Again. Didn’t you.

Beau: (smiling ‘sweetly’) Of course.

Sigh. He always does.
