Me: Beaumont. We have to go for a walk.
Beau: Have you seen the weather out there?
Me: Doesn’t matter. We still have to go.
Beau: I’m comfy.
Me: And I’m ready to go for a walk.
Beau: Have a nice time.
Me. With you.
Beau: Do I look like I’m ready to go outside?
Me: I’m pretty sure you have to do your business.
Beau: I’m pretty sure it can wait.
Me: How long?
Beau: As soon as the news is over.
Me: Since when do you watch the news?
Beau: Since never. But, duh! My dad is watching the news and I’m lying on my dad. One plus one equals two. I can’t get up until the news is over.
Me: That doesn’t even make sense.
Beau: News flash lady. It doesn’t have to.
Me: News flash Beaumont. I’m going now.
Beau: As I said, have a nice time. I’ll be there when the news is over.
Sigh. It took half an hour before he was ready to get off the bed and go for a walk. He really is incorrigible.
