Beaumont the Movie Star

Beau: Louise, it’s 3:30pm and you haven’t posted my blog yet. What gives?

Me: I’m busy.

Beau: What can keep you so busy you don’t take care of the important things Louise?

Me: What I’m doing is important too, Beau.

Beau: Louise. Louise. That may be true but, you made a commitment with my blog to post every Sunday and quite frankly, you are doing a really poor job of keeping your commitment.

Me: Beau. Do you know how hard it is channelling your thoughts? Like seriously! That’s one busy mind you’ve got there.

Beau: Are you making excuses and blaming me for not keeping your commitment Louise?

Me: Ummm….

Beau: Don’t bother answering. We both know the truth.

Me: Seriously Beau: Can’t we just go to every second Sunday?

Beau: I swear we had this conversation just a few weeks ago Louise! My blog is not called, Every Second Sunday with Beaumont. It’s called Sundays with Beaumont. As in, every Sunday. Gheesh. You sure can be forgetful when you want to be.

Me: Like you being hard of hearing at the park you mean?

Beau: Louise. Louise. Do not deflect and take this conversation on another path. We are talking about you and your commitment. Are you or are you not going to keep it?

Me: Fine Beau. I’ll keep it.

Beau: Good. And for a bonus. Please include a video of me. I want to be a movie star! It’s my time.

Me: Says who?

Beau: Whom. Louise. The correct English is Says whom.

Me: Says you.

Beau: No. Says… hey! Wait a minute. You’re deflecting again. Not falling for it. Just get ‘er done will you. I need to go for a nap before I’m off to the park for my afternoon gander. Remember?

Me: How can I forget? You tend to be relentless in reminding me when it’s time to go to the park.

Beau: That’s because your memory just ain’t what it used to be Louise.

OUCH! Sigh. He does it again. Ends up with the last word. Then again, he is kind of right. I did make a commitment… Don’t you hate it when your dog is more responsible than you are? 🙂
