Me: Beaumont, stop sticking your tongue out.
Beau: I’m not sticking it out. It’s hangin’ out.
Me: Then stop hanging it out.
Beau: When you stop bringing me the park at the top of the hill instead of the river when it’s 33Celsius, I’ll stop hangin’ my tongue out.
Me: I brought your water bottle.
Beau: Which is big enough to give me a couple of licks and that’s it. Anyway, I prefer to immerse my whole body into the river and let its icy waters course through my fur. Now that’s chillin’ darlin’.
Me: Chillin’ or not, I’m trying to take your picture and your tongue is hanging out.
Beau: And I come back to my point. If you’re going to insist on taking my picture when it’s plus Saraha Desert hot out here and I’m sweatin’ like a 50-year-old dude trying to fit into his 25-year-old wedding tuxedo, then it’s inevitable that you’re going to catch my tongue hangin’ out too.
Me: Well, I want a good photo of you for your blog.
Beau: Well, I want to swim in the river. Sometimes, it’s just as Mick Jagger said. You can’t always get what you want.
Me: Can I at least get one photo of you without your tongue?
Beau: Will you take me to the river?
Me: Tomorrow, Beau. Tomorrow.
Beau: Yeah? Well then I’ll make like Scarlett O’Hara and think about not hangin’ my tongue out tomorrow, too.
Sigh. And Beau wins again.

Hey Beaumont! You may have a point about cooling off in the river but then do you not think that an updated photo of you showing off all your fab attributes is something that your fans have been waiting for is worth a pose or two?
